Randy is a Washington native, born in Spokane. He grew up in Kent, attended the University of Washington where he studied physics, math and economics. He was also on the wrestling team and competed in the ’78 Pac 8 championships.
After leaving the UW he moved to Bellevue to be with his fiancé and began work in IT. As a networking, or systems consultant for more than 20 years he designs and implements systems from 2 users to thousands in both the private and public sectors, and is a published author. He currently works for a large healthcare company based in Denver.
Randy has served on several nonprofit boards as secretary, vice president and president. These include the Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association, Puget Sound Network Users Association, and was founding president of the Network Professionals of Puget Sound. He is currently on the board of the 48LD Democrats where he serves as Chair for the Rules committee as well as being Precinct Committee Officer for his neighborhood.
He lives in the Crossroads area of Bellevue with his wife of 28 years, and adult children Justin (26) and Brandae (24). He has been involved with Scouting as Cubmaster and school education and athletic programs as a coach and high school official.
